Tips for Privilege Assignment
There are several dependencies and/or non-dependencies among the Privileges. The system administrator should consider these when assigning privileges to users. The topics below also describe two or three privileges for which a dependency can be assumed.
General tips
All privileges are assigned separately. No privilege includes another privilege.
Sequences are always treated as a whole. For example, a user who has the DeleteSEQ privilege can delete sequences. This action deletes the programs in the sequences, also, even if the user does not have the DeletePGM privilege.
Directories are not treated as a whole. Thus, for example, a user who has the DeleteDIR privilege cannot delete a directory that contains a program unless the user has the DeletePGM privilege.
